What card grading really costs

The headline grading fee is only one part of the order. A realistic estimate also includes shipping to the grader, return shipping, insurance, supplies and any middleman, membership or service fee. This calculator spreads order-level costs across the number of cards you submit.

Works with PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC and other graders

Choose the grading company and service that fits your card, then type the fee from that company’s current pricing. The calculator is intentionally editable instead of hard-coding a fee that may become outdated.

Trading cards and sports cards

Use the same cost calculation for Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic: The Gathering, One Piece, Lorcana, Dragon Ball, Weiss Schwarz, Star Wars Unlimited, baseball, basketball, football, soccer, hockey and other standard card submissions.

Hypothetical cost for a 10-card submission

For 10 cards at an example grading fee of 20 each, the grading subtotal is 200. If shipping, insurance, supplies and other order costs together total 50, the total order cost is 250 and the estimated cost per card is 25. Formula: total cost = card count × fee per card + order extras; cost per card = total cost ÷ card count. The split is equal across cards; enter the actual costs for your chosen service.

Check current grading fees

This calculator uses the fees you enter; it does not retrieve live PSA or CGC prices. Check the current service, declared-value limits, shipping and any applicable extra charges before submitting.
